Experienced Medical Receptionist

  • Full time role - 38 hours per week
  • Must have experience within a busy GP Surgery

The Medical Receptionist role is a critical one.  The Receptionist welcomes practice patients and visitors, coordinates the smooth flow through the practice and provides administrative support to the practice and its staff.  As such, this role is one of providing customer service in a prompt, courteous and business-like manner.

Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for on of their two surgeries.  You will be available on a full time basis Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday as required.  You will possess a strong dedication to customer care, be highly motivated, have a team spirited attitude and approach your work with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Booking appointments
  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Processing payments and updating patient files
  • General clerical tasks such as filing and daily mail

You will possess:

  • Previous experience in a busy general medical practice
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to work in a team environment
  • Sound knowledge of MedTechn32 software preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrate skills and planning and prioritizing workload
  • Ability to identify and facilitate resolution of client problems
  • High level of communication and reporting skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of concepts underpinning customer service requirements of a busy medical practice
  • Immaculate personal presentation
